This guidebook entitled “Designing a Gender Sensitive Mentorship Programme for the Workplace” aims to build the private sector’s capacity to be able to design and implement tailored mentorship programmes that ensure the equitable career progression of women workers. This guidebook is based on the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) “Mentoring in the Workplace” guidance note, reproduced by UN Women under the WE EMPOWER – G7 programme, funded by the European Union and jointly implemented with the International Labour Organization.

The content of this guidebook has been contextualized to the Egyptian private sector context by Ms. Leidya Saleh; UN Women Egypt Country Office’s Consultant under the “Women’s Economic Empowerment in Egypt” programme, implemented in partnership with the National Council for Women (NCW), Ministry of Labor, and Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation in Egypt and funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).”
