Women’s Empowerment Programme 'TAMKEEN' Launch Event

Part of the launch event of the Women’s Empowerment Programme “TAMKEEN” that took place early June at Abdeen Palance in partnership with the Ministry of International Cooperation, the National Council for Women, the European Union, the Governments of Italy and Spain, together with the United Nations in Egypt, namley UN Women, UNFPA and UNICEF.

Tamkeen” is a three-year programme that aims to strengthen institutional and individual capacities of women and girls and raise awareness on the relevant issues to their empowerment and state protection services. The programme will work on achieving accelerated progress in gender equality and the empowerment of women in Egypt through supporting the realization of the objectives of the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2030 and Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy.
